Terms and Conditions of Use

Between ("the app") is a private service of games, challenges, missions and rewards for two adults who are a couple to play together, in the same place or long distance. It can be used for free, with an optional paid Premium plan (see "Plans and payments"). It is offered by Izan Carlo Celis Afonso (contact: hola@betweengame.com).

By creating an account you accept these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use the app.

• Only people 18 or older who are able to consent. By signing up you state that you are.
• It is designed for two adults in a relationship who want to play together. Each person uses their own account, with truthful information.
• You are responsible for keeping your password safe and for what is done from your account.

• Consent is ongoing and can be withdrawn at any time. Challenges are suggestions: each person decides whether to do them. Skipping a challenge or ending the game is always available and never carries a penalty related to saying no.
• Don't pressure your partner into anything they don't want to do. Don't use the app to coerce, harass or control anyone.
• Respect the limits each of you sets. The app applies them, but treating each other with respect is your responsibility.
• Don't play while driving, around minors, in public places where the content would be inappropriate, or when either of you is not in a condition to consent (for example, under the influence of alcohol or other substances).

What you write in the app (answers, custom rewards, names) is seen by your partner. You are responsible for it. Posting illegal content, content involving minors, content that infringes the rights of others, or other people's personal data without their permission is prohibited.

Between is entertainment. It is not medical, psychological or sexual advice. If a challenge doesn't suit your health or situation, skip it. If in doubt, talk to a professional.

The app is provided as is. We try to make it work well, but it may have bugs or interruptions (for example, a brief cold start after days without use). We may also change or remove features. If we decide to shut down the service, we will give reasonable notice so you can delete your accounts, and we will refund the proportional part of any Premium period already paid and not used.

• The plan belongs to the couple. If one of you subscribes to Premium, you both enjoy it as long as you stay linked.
• Free plan: Obsidian Roulette up to level 3, the "Who's More Likely To…?" game, the daily mission and up to 3 active custom rewards.
• Premium: adds levels 4 and 5 (which still need both of you to confirm), the rest of the long-distance games, weekly and secret missions and unlimited custom rewards. We may add new content; if we ever remove something important from Premium, we will let you know beforehand.
• Open beta: while the beta lasts, Between is free and all Premium features are unlocked for every couple, without subscribing to anything. Before the beta ends or paid plans arrive, we will let you know in the app at least 30 days ahead. If you don't subscribe to Premium then, the couple will move to the free plan without losing anything already created.
• Monthly or annual subscription, renewing automatically at the end of each period. The final price, including VAT, is always shown before you pay. Payments are processed by Stripe; Between never sees or stores your card details.
• Canceling: whenever you want, in Settings → Couple plan → Manage subscription. There is no minimum term. Premium stays active until the end of the period already paid, and then the couple moves to the free plan without losing anything already created.
• 14-day refund: if you email us at hola@betweengame.com within 14 calendar days of the first payment of a subscription, we will refund the full amount and cancel it. After that, periods already started are not refunded, unless the law says otherwise or the service did not work because of us.
• Price changes: we will notify you at least 30 days before they apply to your next renewal. If you don't agree, you can cancel before that date.
• If an account is deleted: if either of you deletes their account, the couple space is deleted and the subscription is canceled at that moment, with no further charges.
• Safety is never paid. Skipping a challenge, ending the game, setting limits and the privacy of your data work the same on every plan.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for damages arising from use of the app contrary to these Terms, or for what you do outside the app based on a challenge. This does not limit liability for willful misconduct or gross negligence, or the rights consumer protection law gives you.

• You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Delete account. What is deleted is explained in the Privacy Policy. If you had Premium, the subscription is canceled at the same time.
• We may suspend or delete accounts that breach these Terms, especially those of minors or those used to harm another person.

Between's design, code and catalog of challenges and games belong to their owner. You may use them for your personal use within the app, but not copy or exploit them outside it.

If we change them in an important way, we will let you know in the app. If you keep using it afterwards, we will understand that you accept the new version. If you don't agree, you can delete your account.

These Terms are governed by Spanish law. Any dispute will be heard by the courts of the user's place of residence, where the user is a consumer. Before that, write to us at hola@betweengame.com and we will try to resolve it.
